Aunty Phyllis DeMotta

Hello. I am the owner and primary caregiver at The Keiki Company. I have been caring for children as a Family Child Care provider for over 25 years. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development from Pacific Oaks College and am an Associate Professor at DeAnza Community College where I also teach Early Childhood Development.

I and my three assistants (Nalani, Uilani and Joanna) are certified in First Aid and CPR. They have attended Deanza College and have earned a A.A. degree. 

I have four children and two grand daughters. I opened The Keiki Company because I enjoy being with children and want to provide a nurturing environment. I promise to nurture your child as if he or she was my own.

©       I believe that a safe environment allows children to explore and grow. At The Keiki Company, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences which fosters age appropriate development. We read to the children everyday.

©       I believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning.

©       Most importantly, however, I believe that children need to have fun! At The Keiki Company, Children learn best from experiencing the world around them.

At The Keiki Company we recognize that parents have a difficult schedule and we support their schedules the best we can. We recognize the importance of your work and the stress and demands placed upon parents. We strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the knowledge that their children are being cared for by trained, knowledgeable, caring individuals.
